The Funky Bazaar
Nestled in the idyllic San Jacinto mountains is a small town with a mighty art community: Idyllwild, home of Lily Rock, Astrocamp, and the Funky Bazaar. A stroll through Idyllwild’s main road reveals a village with creative tendencies, bursting with art and community. Every block hosts a gallery or artist collective, yet none are so unique as the Funky Bazaar.
From its distinctive yellow walls to its vibrant interior, the Funky Bazaar is a haven for creatives. Stocked to the brim with dazzling originals, visitors and locals alike cherish the eclectic design of this bizarre home of the Idyllwild Art Alliance.
When I moved to Idyllwild to teach at the local summer camp, I thought I knew what to expect: small businesses, a tight community, and plenty of art. However, I didn’t expect that creative community to be so welcoming! The Idyllwild Art Alliance welcomed me with open arms, and I recently began selling at the Funky Bazaar myself!
You can find my original postcards at the Funky Bazaar, and as the summer continues, you will also find my originals on canvas and collectable ACEOs. I hope to see you there!
