Free Range
Inspired by the roaming fields of Petaluma, California, Free Range was a wedding gift to a couple with many happy years in their future, whose ceremony occurred on a farm. The rooster represents a wake-up call: wake up to your new life! The vibrant colors and casual subject matter suggests an expression of gratitude to the mundane.
I have painted roosters in the past, as demonstrated above. Their vibrant plumage and commonplace appearance create fine subjects for any painting.
